Indianapolis Family Photography | Guernsey Family

I’m so excited to share this Indianapolis Family photography session with you today! When the Guernsey Family reached out about family photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something so special about in home family sessions. We all know our children grow and change so quickly, but our homes tend to change as well! It’s nice to be able to look back and reminisce on how our home looked at a certain stage.

Another thing I love about in home sessions is that they tend to be more relaxed. Your entire family is just more comfortable being in their normal environment. Not to mention being in your home lends itself to wearing more comfortable clothing. With everyone relaxed and comfortable we’re able to document more real and genuine moments together. The Guernsey family loves to play board games together. This is such a sweet and special time for their family and by being in their home we were able to document that time together!

Some of my favorite images are those of everyone in the kitchen together. I’m a firm believer in your kitchen being the heart of your home and I find lots of memories are made there. Kelsey and Scarlet planed to make chocolate chip cookies during our session. We were able to get some of the sweetest images of them baking together. Sadly though, just as they were about to bake them they fell to the floor! Cody was glad he was at least able to try the dough, but what a disappointment for this sweet family!

To the Guernesy Family, thank you so much for allowing me to document these precious memories for you! It was so wonderful spending some time together and seeing your family enjoying some of the same things my family enjoys. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!
