Plainfield Senior Photography | Ava

I am so excited to share this Plainfield senior photography session! The day of Ava’s senior session was hot, humid, and eventually ended in thunderstorms. However, you would never know by looking at her images! Cloudy weather can offer some of the best light for your portraits as it is softer and diffused by the clouds. Ava came to her session super prepared with her outfits and coordinating jewelry. She NAILED it and I cannot wait for you to see!

Ava is graduating from Plainfield High School this month. She is highly involved with music, show choir, orchestra, and theater! She loves spending baking and thrifting. Ava described her style as “spring-like with a hint of grandma” and I just knew her session was going to be so much fun! She brought 4 dresses and a jean outfit with an absolutely adorable Totoro cardigan. I love when my seniors bring plenty of options for their session! Each outfit change gives you a chance to show off your personality and things you love.

 

 

Another great way to add variety and show your personality is through your accessories. Ava came prepared with coordinating earrings for her outfits! It was a quick and easy change but made a massive impact on her senior pictures. Ava also opted to have her hair and makeup professionally done by Alyson of Something Blue Stylists. Ava and her mom were thrilled to have Alyson’s help in getting ready and everything photographed beautifully!

 

Knowing that Ava enjoys Studio Ghibli and that she is a creative, I came to her session with thoughts of creating whimsical, soft images for her. I think we were able to create some very cottage-core, dreamy images that are still timeless for her! Getting to know my seniors through a questionnaire and chatting is so helpful in making images that are truly unique to them.

 

 

Ava, thank you for allowing me to document your senior pictures. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors with music and hope you have the best time at the Eras concert!
