Indianapolis Photographer | Liam Marshall

As an Indianapolis photographer, I am incredibly blessed to meet amazing families and learn of their unique stories. Oftentimes life brings us challenges to navigate and overcome. The Healys are no strangers to the challenges of infertility and have made it through with the most beautiful blessing. To witness their joy and love for sweet baby Liam is truly an honor I am so grateful for. I can’t wait to share their in home newborn session with you!

When Libby first reached out through my website I thought her name sounded so familiar! Once a family reserves a session I send over a questionnaire that does ask for social media handles. Upon seeing her handle I knew right away why her name sounded so familiar! On July 28th, 2018 I had helped Libby with her bridal hair and makeup. Libby was such a sweet and kind bride and I was so excited to be able to share in another major moment in her life!

In their questionnaire Libby also mentioned some of their fertility struggles. Libby and Pat tried to conceive for many years. They have been through many fertility treatments, ultrasounds, needles, doctor’s visits, tears, and 4 losses. After their fourth loss they decided to add a puppy to their family. Luna joined the family just and has Pat wrapped around her paw! Shortly after that they decided to give IVF one more try.
“Infertility has been the hardest, longest journey for us and we were honestly not sure we would ever make it here. We will never forget our four loves lost along the way, and will forever wonder who they would have been.”
To honor their losses Libby wears a bracelet with four tiny hearts and brought out a small rainbow necklace. They wanted to include Liam’s embryo picture in some of their photos, which I think was a beautiful touch and made for such a powerful image of hope and triumph. At the very end of their session Libby handed me a couple of onsies. The IU onsie was purchased when they had just started their journey to conceive. Pat brought out a Sox onsie that Libby had forgotten they had, a first pregnancy announcement that had ended in heartbreak. Pat had hidden it away and brought it out for their pictures. And finally a “worth the wait” onsie for baby Liam.

Liam Marshall was born on October 1st, 2023. He was 21 inches long and weighed 7lbs 11oz. He has a beautiful head full of hair, a lifelong furry best friend, and two parents that are absolutely smitten with him.

Pat and Libby, thank you for being so open and vulnerable in sharing your journey with me and with so many others on social media. You are both so incredibly strong and inspiring. I am so looking forward to seeing where life takes you all as Liam grows!
